“Huff huff,” Trying to catch my breath knowing I have to keep going. The sweat on my face is telling me to speed up. I push on, checking the time on my watch. I can't stop until i’m done. I see the others finish. I'm close.

Some dogs are happy, some dogs are sad. Some dogs are really cute, some  are bad.

My day is done. My voice was heard. Now I can relax. Climb into my cozy pajamas, and rest. One long week has gone by, and the next two days are to myself. As I walk home I can see the busy traffic of people trying to get home to their families.

My Dad, sold. My sister, sold. My dog… wants food. My Mom… not convinced. I want my family to move to Mars. I want to start fresh and breathe new air. Not from a different country or anything like that, but a new planet.

I had been ditched. My best friend for 5 years just abandoned me. I was speechless. I could not produce words to come out of my mouth. Last recess I had played with the new girl, and the next, she was gone. I could only hear.

Sometimes I wonder why humans can't make inventions to fix everyday lives. Like an invention to stop the glaciers from melting or to suck some of the carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. How would these inventions change the world?
