Is this is a winter I don’t know

All the crow know

Stand’n on open leaf

Cock’n head in disbelief

Is this winter she don’t know

When the world is at its darkest days,

Turn the light on.

When someone is lost,

Find them

Hold them

And assure them

here i stand – amidst the trees  

i hear the echoes of wind 

that whistle through this valley 

for evermore

I despise annotating in my books and in my notes

It takes away from the beauty of the page

It's confusing and maiming and hurts the book

And it hurts me deeply

Too many shapes and writings to follow

i know i promised

"i'll be in bed by nine"

yet how can i 

when the work is piling up

invisible stack higher than my head

yet how can i

if when i fall into bed

the fears come rushing in
