I remember when a phone wasn't important to me

When all I wanted to do was play outside in the grass

Watch as the clouds wisped by in the sky

The foundation of the next generation

Begins with this population,

But we need the obligation of innovation

Because by my estimation

If there isn’t motivation

I am unique 

I have hearing loss 

I feel as if it is harder for me to fit in 

I feel as if I am a puzzle piece that can’t fit 

summer '24 is when i cut off all my hair

and thats why you didn't notice me

summer '24 is when i went to music camp

and had the best time of my life

summer '24 is when i had that big argument with you

Sometimes we stay outside

on your front steps.

It’s peaceful there.

There are no cars  

or stomping feet.

There are no dishes
