As I reflect on that last moment, I couldn't help but feel like it was the end of an era. A time where I was carefree and didn't have the weight of the world on my shoulders.

I find myself marooned on a beautiful island, surrounded by the vast expanse of the ocean. I take in the stunning view of the endless horizon and feel the cool breeze caressing my face.

I used to think that love had to involve sacrifice, because of the role it played in my family while I was growing up. I still remember the slamming doors and the screams, with little me just wanting to escape from it all.

From a distance, I observe the forest.
As I look up at the sky, dark clouds begin to gather.
Soon, rain pours down and heavy winds blow the leaves.
The thunder is loud and the lightning strikes, burning trees.

As I gaze up at the stars, I witness the obscured horizon of the universe with each passing moment. Every flash of light, every joyous event, and every subsequent occurrence, I can see happening in one isolated place - my mind.
