not everything that comes with boundaries
has to stay within them
not every person
is the same
diversity
is what brings us together
like cogs in a clock
we all are a bit different
and that is ok

broken
fallen apart
and scattered across the ugly green carpet
tears that form a lake of desperation underneath the surface of robotic bluntness
farther i fall 
beneath the waves of insanity

one, 
syllables, letters
wind around my tongue 
and get stuck in my throat
but through my fingers does my voice stand strong
spread across my paper
my words are my strength. 

two, 

no matter how hard i try
they call me pretty
and gift me things i will never wear
no matter how hard i try to forget
the faded, scratched up altoids tin
that reminds me of you
still sits on my desk
no matter what i do
