Since I’ve seen your face

The leaves fall

We went trick-or-treating in the dark

And we took walks in the park

But in the end

You were colder than winter

Fell in love with a golden illusion. 

World veiled in a bronze light, 

Everything felt right. 

The warmth of sun kissing skin, 

The reassurance of night, 

Love is a new, familiar taste that’s different every time. 

Once you fall back in, 

You feel everything all over again. 

It’s an exotic sensation. 

Who said falling in love was a graceful experience?
