It’s her.

The person I have spent my whole life waiting for.

She stares me down, her eyes trained on mine. I was trying to toy with her, taunt her, make her flustered, but she holds my stare like it’s nothing.

A book lover who reads by flashlight and dreams of living in a cottage by the sea, 

and running a bookstore with tinted windows and plants spilling down shelves, 

On today of all days 

I am alone 

Tomorrow I would fly 

Away from my frozen life 

Through the wind, across the moonlit sea 

I would rejoice in pastels and fakes 

It's been a long time since I have felt truly at ease with my friends

Since I've been able to laugh freely, smile easily, and be unapologetically myself
