A Meaningless Sunflower
I am alone, truly alone, alone, alone, alone.
I am alone.
I am broken.
I am helpless.
I cannot stand back up.
I will never see the daylight again.

The Taste of Home
Peeling white paint
Stained wooden floors
Dim yellow light bulbs
Papers strewn across the floor
An unmade bed piled with blankets and pillows

This is What Help Feels Like
I think I might drown
From the weight on my shoulders
Expectations,
Hopes,
Dreams.
I want to meet them
I need to meet them

Deep Down, In the Lake
Once upon a time,
A woman won a lottery.
But she did not keep
The tens of thousands of dollars.
Where did they go, then?

To Fall Into a Book
Never have I ever
Ridden a horse
Fallen in love
Flown on clouds
Worn dresses of silk
Met elves

Time Unwasted
Time wasted away
On small,
Trivial things
I only have one life
And no way
To undo the things

Momentary
To be young is to feel the grass growing beneath your feet
And wander through the woods aimlessly
To see the little, quiet things unnoticed by all else
And say,
I saw something beautiful today.

Somewhere to Live, Someone to Love
There’s a place I want to live
And someone I want to love
I want to live in a place
So full of joy
That it fills me too
So full of people
-
sweetness that melts
There’s a quiet beauty
in the things you know won’t last
moments already fading
even while you’re inside them. -
A letter to ICE
Pledge your life to liberty and justice,
raise your hand and take an oath to serve and protect,
who are you protecting though?
I watch the news and see agents hurting the innocent,
children,

Weeping Willows
The weeping willow shimmers, the water droplets gleaming in her sunlit hair.
A dryad floats above her, in the air.
They unify, becoming one.
In Summer, the Willow cries with joy, enjoying the sun. -
A Mix
My face is a mix of my parents'
I have my dad's eyes
And hair
I have my moms features
And skin tone
But it all pulled together
To make my face
My face with brown hair and eyes
Pink lips
