Storms warn what's ahead,

Icy hugs from the wind above, 

as winter rolls in. 

Warm eyes staring back at me,

shining with love as full as the sea.

Smiles shared as the time ticks by.

We see no one but each other,

as we dance our hours away,

gleefully happy in each others presence.

As the years go by, 

the seasons may become a blur,

but late in the evenings of autumn, 

you’ll hear the wind start to sigh. 

The saying 'you don't know what you have until it's gone,' 

is a truth that feels like a weighted curse, one you'll never be rid of. 

Seasons change quicker than we realize, as winter holds fall close,

I try to notice things others wouldn’t,

but sometimes it’s as hard as finding a certain star

in the night sky full of millions that reflect like a mirror.

Although, for all the small things I take note of,
