This Sea of Voices
"You have a voice, use it," they say.
So I do, but my words get lost in
the sea of voices that surround me.
I repeat myself, louder this time,
trying to swim to the surface
of this sea of voices. -
Wish
When its late at night,
and the stars shine bright,
I wish upon the light.
I wish for things I long for,
and things I have yet to yearn for.
The wind sings, cutting through the silence. -
Things We Left In Ruin
Friendships come and go,
I've learned that over the years
I've lived on this planet.
To me, this is an undeniable fact.
But there's always that one friendship
I thought would last longer than the rest. -
Haunted
We all have a shadow
that follows us around,
never leaving our sides.
It's like a lost puppy,
one that trails behind us.
Except, we forget it's there,
so it's more like the slight chill -
Home
For the longest time,
I thought home was a place.
I thought it was a house,
in the smalll state I live in.
I assumed it had to be a place,
one I was bound to by invisible forces.
I assumed I was only homesick -
Not A Fool.
You always wait until the moon disappears,
before looking up at the stars,
now seeing them for how beautiful they are.
Without the moon, the sea knows how vain
you truly are, but you are merely a shadow forged from light.
Loves

The Raven (inspired by Edgar Allan Poe)
Sulking on one sunny afternoon,
Laying on a garden bench; feeling at a loss.
Missing the woman he had held.
The girl had been a beauty,
None would suggest otherwise.

All Songs Never Sung
If you put these words to melody
would they suddenly be known?
my poems played across the world
to an audience that's grown?
I've no melody in mind
only scribbles on a page
-
the girls in the graveyard
in the cemetery
blood moon shining brightsomething stirs
a creature of darkness
awaiting its freedomsoon come its priestesses
bringing with them candles, incense, and knives.

The Moon Is Alone Too But It Still Shines
The moon is all alone in the sky,
Although,
it's the only thing shining when all else is dark.
In a lot of ways,
the moon is the same as a human being.

Annie
Who would have known when we met ten months ago that you would become so special, so dear to my heart?
At first, you were skeptical of my wheelchair and wouldn’t come close to me.
