The Sweet Escape
When I was a little younger than I am now,
I went home after school and wrote until bedtime.
That was enough to take me into the stratosphere.
I'd play in the cloud for hours and hours.

would you believe me if i said it took me 10 days of reading this back to myself to understand what you meant and how good it is? because it did i've literally been staring at this for over a week ;)
Thank you so much! It's definitely a more cryptic one, but I think anyone who's ever been fed up with a can get it eventually.
totally!
I clicked on this, expecting a longer poem, but it is short and I can still see the meaning in it and that amazes me. All my poetry tends to ramble, and I over explain and I never know where to end it. You don't and that is part of why I feel so drawn to your poetry. You are quite lovely. keep writing! <3
Thanks very much! It's funny - I often find writing long pieces a struggle, because my brain just wants to condense everything into as tiny a paragraph as possible.
