A Bouquet of Haikus

Spring

cherry blossoms float south

carried by a gentle breeze

of chirps and happy sighs

Summer

eager winds leap, spin

across the sea of green called

a sun-drenched meadow

Fall

red, golden leaves whisper

as they fall, twirl their way towards

the hands of a child

Winter

cold white crystals coat

the moose’s curving antlers

they fall like petals

Moon

she hangs there, glowing

against a backdrop of night

almost smiling at me
