This is amazing! I could instantly tell it was a "murder board" (or so I think of such boards in my head) with an arrangement of labelled suspects and the connections between them, complete with little notes and scribblings. There's nothing macabre about this though; the colors keep it fresh and add to the intrigue.

I feel like accessories, distinct from larger garments we wear less frequently, can express so much about our personalities. It sounds like this hat you made meant a great deal to you at one time, and saw much of your life through its non-seeing eyes as it lived atop your head in a hundred different social settings. Even if you no longer wear it, you should hang on to it for sentimental reasons or to pass on to a loved one some day, especially because it's an expression of your creativity/handiwork!
Although this piece is on the bleaker side, it also expresses great wisdom: There is no such thing as perfection, perfection is unattainable. Or that's how I read it anyway, but I imagine there's more than one interpretation and multiple meanings behind your words!
