Tiny Writes
hiya! my friend and i are writing a book about a group of friends receiving amulets in a strange dimension not like theirs at all and being able to turn into mythical creatures and back, now they're trying to find a way out of this world back to their world.
i wonder if anyone has any tips for co-writing a book with a friend? plus we are planning to post it somewhere after we are done, so it would be awesome to hear ideas!! thanks in advance :)

Hey! Never written a book with someone before but I read a book once where there were two characters and their oerspectives alternated and there were two authors who each wrote from the perspective of one character. I assume they talked to each other to figure out plot flow but I loved the book!
ooo okay! that's the format me & my friend are writing it! and so far it's going pretty good :)
I'm writing a book with someone who lives on the other side of the country, and it get's hard at time. We like to text/phone call sometimes and brainstorm what'll happen next when we're out of ideas. The easiest way we found to do it is that we each write one of the two main character's chapters and we split it up that way. I would suggest heavy communication! Every time one of us finish a chapter we send an email with like a summary of what happened and questions we have for the other person about the plot, and suggestions for what'll happen in the next chapter. of course, everyone is different, but these longer emails and adding comments on a shared google document was definitely helpful through this process! Hope this helps :)
thank you!
