To being carefree

today, i let my brother spray me with a hose 

and it reminded me of that time at camp,

when we jumped in the pool, still in our clothes 

it reminded me of water balloon fights, 

and being carefree,

and campfires at night,

and eating as many s'mores as i pleased

because as he sprayed me,

i decided not to care,

about my makeup, my looks,

or the dye in my hair 

i didn't worry about school,

or my future or my friends,

because there is no way to redo,

this moment once it ends
