Before the world told you
Who you should be?

Adults teach you
To stand up for what you believe in
Until it contradicts
Their own beliefs

The intelligence
Of students
Is merely measured
By their willingness
To follow commands

Teenagers
Are expected
To behave like adults
But are treated
Like children

I agree with everything that you say in this Poem and it’s not fair that we have so many expectations put on us, and the bar is far to high for us. I think that you capture all of that in this poem!
