i think about claiming myself, labelling myself as i please. 

what is a label? is it a name? a descriptor?

what is it to claim an identity?

what is a boy? is it a label? is it an identity?

what is it to be a boy?

is it anguish, misery, yearning for something you'll never have?

is it giving up everything you love in hopes you'll be what they want?

is it giving up every piece of yourself to fit an impossible mold?

can i be a boy without giving myself up?
