Continuing forward

It holds me

keeps me at the right temperature as long as it's between 50-70 degrees outside.

It embraces me

I can be myself in it

I don't have to hide as much

it encourages me to emerge from the dark recesses of myself

unlock the gates,

but keep them closed.

Learn to watch

and then begin to interact

to talk honestly.

It guides me

shows me the fork in the road,

but leaves me to decide which way I want to go.

Shows me the dark twist up ahead,

but leaves me to choose whether or not I will turn back

or continue forward.

It teaches me

that your shape shouldn't matter

as long as your comfortable in your own skin

and that while the opportunity to turn around and run back is there

it's basically impossible;

you have to keep walking the path that time laid under your feet

you must carry on;

carry the burden of others

while still comfortably carrying your own personal burdens.

You need to ask for help when you need it

you need to know how to ask for help in the first place.

You need to

you must

you can
