The Dreamer's Wheel

Humanity has cried for it to stop
Yet no spear or sword could halt the mop
That clears away color and good faith
But does not care to dismantle hate

Time is not a perfect circle
But rather a square or line at best
For humanity, with all its eyes
Could not stop the fall of Persepolis

Like the Evergreen tree,
Who dies before leaves change hue
Humanity won’t drop its stones
Before its time is due

For no one dies twice,
A thousand years apart
And the dead can’t tell the hopeful
That the seas will never part

So the dreamers will shape the wheel
Reality, they will steal
They dream of a unified kind
Where only peace fills the wheel’s mind

I would join them happily
For its not surreal
To think that the wheel
With all its malady
Would prefer a planet of peace
Than one full of tragedy.
