Apathy, never hatred
I, myself was born with apathy 
Deaf to the conflict that surrounded me
Although it had eaten at everything I saw.


But as I touched the hands and hearts of my family
I had forgotten apathy 

The Pigeon lives in constant reverie.
For one pebble is enough to remind him
That once, his talons knew only rock.
But now, the White Dove claims the lost rock
With the Pigeon confined to sidewalk.

Humanity has cried for it to stop
Yet no spear or sword could halt the mop
That clears away color and good faith
But does not care to dismantle hate

Time is not a perfect circle
But rather a square or line at best

Fate’s Fire

I used to adore that pear tree
Until I discovered,
It was just plaster covered in plastic sheets
So I saw a massive eucalyptus, in a copse of green brush
It was a colossus towering over a town of life
But the sign said: “Invasive!"

“Listen, forest undergrowth
And fallen bay laurel leaves
This is now a logging site,
An invincible disease,

Hope you had your golden age
Now you will join the abyss
We will spare this redwood grove
