Fate's Sparrow

The sparrow’s frail wings flap
Past blue rivers
And sweetest sap
But the incessant wind
Shoots poison arrows
The sparrow’s frail wings flap
No more
The unforgiving wind hauls
And harrows—
Yet the sparrow falls
To the forest floor

Together with the ceaseless wind
The sparrow sings
A ceaseless tune
But wings are pinned—
For those who
Gaze up at the moon
Yet in the wind’s quick gasp
The sparrow limps long enough
To fly
Long enough To escape
The asp

  • Apathy

    Apathy, never hatred
I, myself was born with apathy
Deaf to the conflict that surrounded me
Although it had eaten at everything I saw.

But as I touched the hands and hearts of my family
    I had forgotten apathy
  • The Dreamer's Wheel

Humanity has cried for it to stop
Yet no spear or sword could halt the mop
That clears away color and good faith
But does not care to dismantle hate

Time is not a perfect circle
But rather a square or line at best
