        I stood there at the end of the track where my mark was. I was waiting for my turn to jump. I was extremely nervous because I had failed to make the minimum jump previously. I looked down at my tape mark with my name on it.

    Edleburg was a happy town. It rested on cliffs at the foothills of the great mountains to the north. The looming shadows cast by the mountains were woven into daily life, as common as the grass and the sky.
