Human stupidity and cuttlefish

As it turns out

humans always

always

learn the hard way,

can never take the safe route.

We're that stupid, yes

but without human stupidity we wouldn't know about the pineapple

and would just be sitting around looking at each other, wondering

Who's going to eat it?

Are you going to eat it?

I'm definitely not eating that!

Cuttlefish, on the other hand

are born with our level of intelligence

and have to learn everything on their own

without parents to help raise them and teach them.

That's what makes humans and cuttlefish different

other than us not being marine creatures

and cuttlefish not being land mammals.

I'm just saying

the human species is pretty stupid,

only being able to learn the hard way,

but at least we can raise our children not to do stupid things like our ancestors did?

This is the worst kind of anticipation

this anticipation isn't just fear of what is to come
