My favorite type of writing
is when I'm in the zone
I'm typing
no hesitations
just plugging in all of my honest thoughts and opinions into my somewhat-anonymous profile
spinning deeper and deeper into my spirals
wrapping up my mind more and more
more layers
more metaphors
never ending
my thoughts spilling out of me
more confusing each time I press enter
more
me
Loud and noisy
the 8th grade jury had taken over the partially empty classroom
with nothing to do
no work
(it was the second day after Thanksgiving break)
playing cards dancing through the air
I thought this would be a
typical
miserable
boring
trip
with the exception of the refuge sought out in my computer
turns out
it would not be
I would encounter my best friend at two rest stops
Slow and drawn out
the aftermath of recovering from harsh conditions
yet still standing
the beauty of ancient strength and wisdom radiating from it
yet still full of surprises
still going
still growing
