Freedom is to have the right to

Speak, 

And to Think

But

What happened to that freedom?

Where did it go? Did we lose it, or did we never actually have it?

They tell us we can think what we want

I write too much of things that aren't real. The imagined fear and pain of living a life I haven't got.

This life I have, this life is real, and I am on the precipice of demise.

I refuse to be afraid.

We are so caught in the coming climb

We forget to turn and see the cliffs we've scaled.

I am living in a country where a woman is bracing for a climb to greater heights

The people and our contrary...

This is just what I think...

Why do we blame everyone else?

Why can't we own our own mistakes?

No one can tell you what to do

I feel scared whenever I think about the election.

Because of what is at stake.

Because really it’s everything that’s at stake right now.

Freedom.

Justice.

No one can predict 

Our country's future  

Various people watching and waiting  

Eager and scared for the outcome 

When I write I don't really know what I'm doing or what I'm writing about. I get stuck, I want to write but don't know what to do or I try to write then totally go off topic. 

The United States is not looking for a President with the best policy. As far as policy goes, it is almost never about the person on the ballot.

How come when i do something right the only thing they remember is the thing i did wrong?

How come when i tell someone my opinion its wrong because it's not the same as theirs?

Lying on plush couches,

Scrolling mindlessly on TikTok,
