Poetry

  • Summer

The cool air on my face.

    The sun blazing overhead.

Running through the neighborhood with friends.

With no fears of school bothering your mind.

  • Choices

    It's a choice, every day.

It's a choice to love someone

    To reach out your hand

    To open your heart

And it's a choice to keep loving them

You could close your eyes and hear the ocean...

    Only for a second...

  • Touch

Of my friends' fingers at my waist, shoulders,

All grasping for some sort of an embrace.

    A giant group hug

    Bear hugs, too

  • D O M I N U S V O B I S C U M

slide the depths of your voice from the dust-lungs of your body,

spirit fluttering iridescent ivory feathers into the ianthine arteries of your heart.

breathe and you etch a cross onto your subconscious, glowing like

    One year, one lifetime

    My world is different

    A new place

    A new name

Yet still just the same as last year

    Still the same crushing sorrow

Still the same grief as last year
