Renewing

Discomfort

settles

inside you

hardens

into something to avoid

churning your stomach

restraining you from finding peace.

Emotional

yet physical

tormenting you

pestering you

affecting you

until you finally ask

the question it wants.

"What do you want?"

Of course

there is no vocal answer

but the uncomfortable feeling in your chest

shifts

and a response is expressed

through emotions.

Fear.

Worry.

Anxiety.

Displeasure.

Constant irritation.

Emotions

feelings

swirling through your core

down to your fingertips

providing another question

but aimed at yourself.

"Can I change this?"

The sensations

dancing through you

like half-asleep limbs

inspire you

to change it all.

All of it

gone

changed

to be something

brighter

shining through pestering darkness

slicing?

No, not slicing.

Melting.

Fixing

mending

reassembling

renewing.

When we see flaws in ourselves

    we withdraw from society

    curl in on ourselves

trying to hide from our insecurities.

    The thing is

    people struggle to understand

that their faults are a part of themselves
