Japan, 1863
I made the long walk
Across the plains,
through the village path
under the stars.
At long last, I came to the monastery
where a message was waiting on the fax machine:
It's Abe Lincoln. We need you.

I watch videos of award ceremonies when I feel empty
And I look at the shiny gold
At the nice suits,
And I convince myself that
That's me in those suits!
This is an old piece of writing, and I don't remember writing it.
I met the strangest man today. He was dressed in a white lab coat, and he had a face like that falling sensation that jolts you awake when you're trying to fall asleep.

i've seen so much about how Lincoln could've sent a fax to the samurais and this is such a funny representation!
