Stalking

I slink along the side of the wall

my dark pelt blending in with the darkness

the fog obscuring my features

but my eyes remain.

You can tell that I watch

that I linger

behind you.

I remind you of the past, don't I?

When I slip by close enough for you to see a nose,

a tail,

you flinch back

reminded of your past actions

those horrible choices you made.

I really don't mean to torment you

but you should let go of that soon, you know?

It's getting dark outside

and soon it will be cold

and then I can come closer.

    Revival

    It's a band piece

    weird, I know

    it's from last year

and we only played it in concert once

but it means a lot to me

it reminds me of a lot.

Of Webtoons and authors and demented circuses

    Me

    How

    do others see me?

Do they see a girl in gray cargo pants and light blue thermal quarter zip?

Do they see a friend who loves them despite her crankiness?

Do they see a quiet awkward girl who prefers books to people?
