Time Does Not Stop for Beauty

It's here, prepared or not – 

A single flower. 

Dozens of breathtaking, intricate pink-orange petals reach for the sun. 

Newly bloomed, plump seeds, crisp leaves, overflowing with rich chlorophyll  

A diamond in the ruff, devouring attention, a beauty beyond compare. 

It is young, yet it has visitors, 

Fuzzy bumblebees and graceful cultivated butterflies. 

Oh, but it now has seen enough moons 

Everything, however beautiful, must end. 

And now – the time has come.

    Wispy flakes nestled in among the reds and oranges,
