A Miracle

The morning you were born it was cold. I remember, we were outside bringing the cows in and I saw you. I couldn’t see you clearly. You just looked like a blob. Then I saw you. You had slid under the fence and in the road. It was so amazing. You were so cute, it gave me the chills. It starts in my toes and slithers all the way up my spine. I started smiling and just couldn’t stop. I could have been dreaming it was so amazing. I pushed you up the bank to your mother because she was upset she couldn’t reach you. I just wanted to scream it was so wonderful. Then you fell back off the bank. I shook my head and thought you were crazy, but I still loved you. I just couldn’t believe how perfect it was, the day you were born. You finally started to figure out how your legs worked after a few falls. I started laughing.  Once you could walk a few steps, you followed me all the way to the barn. I couldn’t stop smiling all day. You are a miracle.
