My freshman year was sterile

I was separated, regulated

It smelled of hand sanitizer and soap

The hallways were one way only

“Oh. Okay, I see. Well, another time then. What about winter break? Oh, of course, I understand. Well, don’t worry, honey. We’ll figure something out.

I’ve seen a million sunsets and sunrises, yet each day still dawns with new surprises. As the sun peaks its golden rays over the green mountains, Vermont’s future stretches out with new horizons.

As I walk into the apartment I feel the newness of the apartment shining on me. My friend Jasmine enters the apartment after me. Our realtor is already there waiting for us.
