His Beauty
His hair, his eyes.
How I love his smile, his laugh.
So funny, so sweet.
Always making me smile, and giggle.
But I’m trapped in the friend zone.
He’s so much more to me, but I’m just a friend.

My (Other) Name In A Nutshell
Bubbly and bright, yet always faking it.
Ridiculous and strange, always an outcast.
Insidious and dark, with too much to hide.

The Problem (Me)
When someone says, “What’s the problem?” my first response is, “Me.”
When someone asks, “Why are you crying?” my first answer is, “Me.”
When someone says, “There is no point,” my first reply is, “I agree.”

Goodbye Dear Sun, I Welcome the Moon.
Already the sun begins to set.

Living Situations
My friend's home is beautiful.
It's got green walls with flowers all over. The floor is soft and plush. It's warm but only in summer, and it's too cold in winter. But my friend likes it just fine.

slippery, sunlit silence
Once, we met.
My hair was up, and the world was coated with snow,
and you
talked to me with wide blue eyes
and a slippery smile, easy to fall into.

Slipping Through My Fingers
There’s this song,
Slipping Through My Fingers.
By ABBA. From Mamma Mia!
That's how I see it.
Our rights.
“I try to capture every minute.”

I Have A Voice
The erosion of rights towards marginalized groups feels like a personal attack on the values of equality, fairness, and justice that have importance to me.
