I find it absurd that the President is doing so much bad I no longer have the capacity to feel any more.

I have become 

numb

numb to the fact that this man has broken so many laws you can't even count them.

When did I become

the kid who skips Halloween?

The kid who asks

to be picked up early from parties

agrees in the first place only because

she feels obligated?

When did I become 

Welcome to the world

that never gives anything back.

If you want it

you work for it

if you don't

you're letting everyone down.

You'll fall in love

and you'll hate it.

Sunny days brought her life.

The flower loved sunny days.

She flourished under the bright star,

smiled at its rise.

But then the next day,

it rained.

Hard.

Like a thunderstorm.

When you were a kid,

When you were still learning animal names,

And awed by the world around you,

What did it mean when you looked up,

At other kids, at adults,
