my eyes are a deep brown.

not icy blue.

or emerald green.

my eyes won't be stared at

or drowned it

or complimented

they aren't noticed in a big crowd

but maybe they're noticed in a small one.

when he smiled

oh the way my heart danced

and when he laughed

oh the way i stop and stare

and when he cried

i knew something was off

the way he cared

made me love him even more

school was called off but i still woke up early

i woke up early to watch the snow coat the green grass with white

as the window fogged, i lost sight

i grabbed my gloves and boots

"hi." i say as i walk over to him. "hi." he said as he stared up at the sunset. "pretty, ain't it?" i nod. "looks like gold." he said.

we both sat down on the cement craning our necks up to the sky.

i ran under the outing by the bus stop,, the bus was late,, it was raining,, i was alone,, and i was cold.

what if home is an abstract concept ?

maybe sometimes it looks like something

maybe sometimes it doesn't

but they both have meanings even if you can't see .
