Yes, you are a Man!

You, sir, are no beast, so

This morning, I am looking through this window

of the second floor of this lovely little house

and inside I see this person dancing

and breathing a joyed word to the Sun.

Rather than walk alone, Life took Death in hand
Took Death to its side and said,

Friend, let us breach the divide
And Be one self,
Be one great thing in the vastness of all things

      she doesn’t        exist but as

a small dream sinking through me

that the night is quiet endlessness;

i never learned how to leave

because i came to Life

in quivering obedience

a slow stillness

p u l s i n g

along the tracery of me
