Crow and I went far today

To the very edge of the forest

and I showed him my magic

this is why I am in love with Crow

he was intrigued by my gifts

and he wasn't afraid of my powers like the rest

"Caw caw. Stupid girl, we're hungry, feed us." The crows demand.

"Not now, I'm tired and need to practice my magic." I lay motionless on the dewy grass.

I find birds beautiful

every single bird except for crows

lately all I've seen and known are crows

I haven't seen a sparrow in years

centuries

they might be extinct

crow and I went down to the streams to collect stones for skipping

 he told me he's never been happier than now

we shared a blissful moment under the trees in the fading sunset light

he looks so beautiful

the crows sink their beaks into my skin so that they are fed once again

I'm glad I have some purpose to them

if not a comrade, food.

I keep them alive

and it was time to remind them of that once again today

my friends name is crow 

nothing exists when I am with him

we dress in cloaks of black with hoods

and embark on a quest once the sun begins to set again
