the smell of snow
sharp and bright
like the world holding its breath
just before it turns new
Snow makes me feel sad. But also like I'm at peace. Almost like I'm dead. I can have so much fun in the snow with friends and all the activities there are, but it can be scary when you're alone. Snow makes me think; it makes me think hard.
a fresh white blanket covers the hill.
i press my palms down into the layers.
flakes fall onto my face.
they melt fast but the feeling stays.
The world is muted
muffled
as the snow sprinkles your hair
lice,
you remember a friend calling it once in 5th grade
you got mad at him for that.
