somewhere beyond this

"Somewhere beyond the ideas of wrongdoings and rightdoings, there is a field. I will meet you there." -Rumi

somewhere sometime someplace

else, there is a field. it is the only field

to ever exist in all of history. every battle has been

fought on it. civilizations

washed through it. someone you once knew is buried under it.

you yourself are probably sitting in it right now. it blooms

with nightshade & comfrey on summer nights that stick to your skin

& your memories, stars engraved on all the ruined tombs. in autumn asters drink

the cirrus clouds, children skip through the goldenrod fingers stained

with blackberry blood, the sky

bluer than bluer than blue & piercing through your peripheral vision so many wild geese calls.

someplace somewhere sometime

else, there is a field. it is the only field

left in all of history. every battle has been

lost on it. it is the only thing left

between the wrongdoings and rightdoings, raspberry screams amidst the lightning bugs.

i will meet you there.
