Somedays
are made for shouting the passion of my human condition
from the rooftops.
Do not forget to wonder,
in your busy lives,
at the handsome brown spider
wishing you a goodnight from the corner of your shower
I do not believe in a man in the sky
frowning down on our ridiculous and messy loving.
But if you look up at the delicate intentions of the trees
I think you will find
the universe has enough reasons.
So you want to talk about the meaning of life? There are many people telling you what your life should mean. More importantly what your time should be, because what is life except time and consciousness? Some people say your time is money.
Today it snowed for the first time this winter. We had classes but you woke up early, so of course I did too.
"Let's skip today," you said. "This day is too special to waste on classes."
After the snowfall in the winter there's a sky so deep that it scares me to look up,
to know my fragile kitten heart belongs to such a universe.
