I've been published lots of times on here, so I would recommend just posting as much as you can on here and responding to challenges/contests for ywp! also, if you want to broaden your approach, there are a bajillion other websites with writing contests and challenges, often for money and/or publication.
I agree with tonny; Gilmore Girls is a really good one because all the characters feel so familiar.

Hey! Recently I have not had that much work published. But in the past I would post to very contest, and keep up with challenges as well!

Add more obstacles is what I would do.
