But honestly, writing something that you think is "bad" is often better than not writing at all. Most of the time, others will disagree, and even if you don't love it, it can help to just put words on a page. I feel like a hypocrite for saying not to give up on your stories/story ideas, since I've been so sparse writing my own book, but it's true! And don't be afraid to switch things up if you're not super attached to your novel. Write about things that're important to YOU! It's helped me through my messy plot by having characters that I can relate to and write freely about.
Thank you!
I hate the fact that I can relate to this ughhhh

the to-do list of a rising sophomore
- a poem your writing reminded me of. i recommend you read it, here's a link!
"Here I love you.
In the dark pines the wind disentangles itself.
[...]
And as I love you, the pines in the wind
want to sing your name with their leaves of wire"
- Pablo Neruda, Twenty love poems and a song of despair
Memories of you flood my mind like the sea,
But there's nowhere for me to run.
your name bounces off the walls of my mind,
creating an echo chamber so thick.
the memories convince me i miss you,
but the thought of you makes me sick.
Thank you!
