There is so much love expressed in this poem, it must have felt cathartic to write (in the best way). I think your commitment to your Friend is commendable and sweet, and though he may not be able to speak to tell you this himself, I would assume he feels very lucky to have you.
I really love how you've connected the "monster under the bed," threatening to harm you if you don't check under the bed and shut the closet door, with that nagging, anxious voice telling you to doublecheck something/telling you that something is wrong or that you're forgetting something. It's a perfect analogy (and funny too!)!
I’m working on the third one now! I think Purity died, right? To be honest, I didn’t really like her that much— she was a bit of a bad influence for Greyson. Jerico though… Jeri is awesome!
