Tiny Writes
I've been posting and checking Young Writer's Project, this summer more than I usually have in the past. I'm thankful for this platform for sharing my writing and photos with others. I think it's so cool, how Young Writer's Project has formed an online community across many states in the United States. Does anyone have any ideas on creating a piece (writing/photo) to embody this sense of community? Thanks!

I like the idea of doing a piece to embody the sense of community but I am not quite sure how to execute it... maybe make a thread here on Tiny Writes were you write one line of a poem about the community and then in the replies everyone adds on and you publish the final result? If you want this to be more structured you can give a certain type of poem, like a sonnet or something. These are just my idea but I'm sure whatever you come up with will be super cool!
I love that idea! I really enjoy free verse; so maybe I'll start a poem like that! I'll workshop it and then post it here later! :)

Hey! So I came up with this first verse! It took me a while since school started recently so I've been settling in :)
Any tips for the last year of middle school and going through high school?
Anyways, the poem is more about my experience, but feel free to edit or add to it! Maybe to make the poem apply to more people? I'm really looking forward to creating a poem with different writers! I love writing free verse poetry, but I haven't really explored other writing styles so maybe having others add their thoughts, will help expand the poem!

It's always been hard to know where I fit in.
Some days, I try to socialize more than I do on other days, to make myself seem more approachable and fun.
On other days, I try to use my knowledge to connect with the people who love exploring academics outside of school.
Later, I might play basketball and find myself hanging out with the kids who love sports.
I never really knew where I belonged, but writing has always been a bookshelf of my thoughts and secrets.
