This rings true for so many people! Also, society doesn't leave much room for people to explore other possibilities, like aromanticism or asexuality.
Explore! Learn! Take stuff at your own pace. That should be the message we spread.
I suggest something that creates suspense for the romance? Like: "My resolution this New Year is to take a break from dating."
Little Women, or any book I read as a child. Nostalgia prompts fond memories of what was.
