Is it ok to write a poem and not analyze and edit? Most of the time the words just kind of come out and I don't want to edit my poem at the end because I like it. Is that ok?

Totally. I read through my poems but don't edit much, or I'll publish them and then notice something. One of the best things about poetry is there's not right way to do it <3
Thanks :)
I totally agree. I pretty much use poetry as a way to write without rules, and I think my feelings come through best when I don't edit them.
That's exactly how I feel when I write poetry.
I do the same! Lots of times I don't analyze or edit my poems. There's no right or wrong way to do it, which is part of the fun of poetry!
Same. Sometimes it feels like the poems write themselves - I post them, forget about them, and then someone will comment on it and I'll think, wow, who wrote that? and remember I just didn't edit it, so it never stuck in my memory!! There really isn't one way to write poetry!
