Tiny Writes
I wrote a really vulnerable poem recently, and one of the lines really stand out to me and I want to share it again. “Reminders of you are everywhere. I know one day they’ll go away, but how long until I get there?” This line stands out to me because it’s so vulnerable and I don’t know if anyone else has this problem, but I can’t always be that vulnerable in my writing. Anyone else have any lines from their poems that stand out to them?

Hi, here's a few lines I wrote recently:
It’s been over two years now
But some nights
It feels like there’s a
Gaping wound
In my heart
Shredding me to pieces from the inside
I just wrote a poem about a really hard breakup I went through, and here’s some lines that really stood out to me:
I tried to be enough for you
But this could never be.
When you left me
You tore out my heart.
I gave you my trust
And you lied to my face.
I struggle to heal
From this hole in my chest.
It holds me back
Just like you did
As I try to progress
In my relationships.
I wrote a poem titled 'last day of school' recently and recited it at my school graduation assembly in June. That whole poem is very vulnerable to me, especially because of the fact that I wrote it on a whim and ended up making all of my teachers cry. (it's on ywp so if you want to see what I'm talking about you can read it! :D)
