Our country's future
Various people watching and waiting
Eager and scared for the outcome
Making people crazy
Burning ballots
Everybody in our country
Ready for the day, and yet not ready at all
Friends, family, becoming divided
Innocent people
Fighting for their rights
The person I trust with our fragile country is

If you can't do it for yourself
Then do it for her
Do it for the girl
With big ideas
And even bigger dreams
The girl who would try to count the stars
But then sigh and say there was a lot
I'm not sure how I feel about this poem, I don't think it's really good but I really wanted to participate in this challenge. :)
All times my heart has
Broken into pieces
I can’t breathe
No matter how hard I try
I’m still gasping for air
Drowning in the silence
Or in the noise
My own mind
Suffocating me
