Burning ballots
Everybody in our country

I picked out a dress
It was cute
With little bows on the straps
I felt good in it
Apparently
It wasn’t appropriate
Because
I am grateful
For the feeling of joy
The feeling of peace
Of happiness
I am grateful for
My little sister's cheery face
My friend's laughter
I am angry at the world
I am angry at it’s injustice
I am angry at America
I am angry that we let this happen
I am angry at everyone
