    "i'm fine"

    i'm fine

    i'm staring at nothing
    thinking about everything
exhausted and hurt from the words that slipped off their tongues,
"you okay?" they ask without wanting to know the answer.

    do they even care?

    i wonder sometimes,
as i'm typing out message number five,
a paragraph pleading for an answer,
i wonder if they actually care

  • On the hearth

    On the hearth

    there is a fireplace

it has a pile of chopped logs,

    coals,

    torn up pieces of newspaper

    awaiting their burnt endings

    On the hearth

    a fire burns

    flickering and crackling

  • Do I dare

Do I dare write about this

    about real honesty

about what stands in front of me

    next to me

    always there

    all day?

Do I dare point this out

    without you asking

    who was this about

something for those who want to write

YWP is for those who write

And for those who want to write

For those who see words as the only way out of the hell they're in.

YWP is a safe home for those who feel as if they don't have one

    camouflage

    i hear

your words, your insults, your mocking

i heard it when you called me stupid, special

as if i had no ears

    i see

how you look at me, how you judge me

  • The whisper of starts

    She cried and cried,

    Stars witnessed why she lied,

The universe sang her a golden hum to sleep,

The Magical moonlight guarded all her secrets deep.

Stars heard all her stories she cried aloud,

  • Grow up, not grow old

They say I'm too young to know what love is,

Too quick to believe in forever and kisses.

They roll their eyes when I speak from my chest,

As if my heart's too small to feel this mess.

    The Wind

    “I guess I've always been

    Wonderin' 'bout the wind”

    I’ve never been the one

    To wish on love

    For something forever.

    Until I saw you.
