It's Thursday afternoon, and I find out school is canceled. I start getting my ski stuff ready. I go to bed early. I wake up, and there is 16 inches of snow. My brother and I jump in the car and drive to the Skiway. My brother and I wait in line as the snow continued to fall. I go up the chair lift and watch the ski patrol glide down the mountain on snow. Finally, we get to the top and go down. I am halfway down, and my quads are burning. After a while, I go into the lodge with my brother. I saw some of my friends, so I decided to start skiing with them. We go up the main mountain and do a few runs. After the main mountain starts getting skied off, we go to the other mountain. But after a few runs, we start getting tired because we have all been skiing since nine in the morning, and the clock had just struck four. I walk down to the car with my skis on my shoulder. My dad starts the car, and we're on the road. We get home and go to bed after an amazing Powder Day.

Canada
Canada is one of my favorite places to be. Why? Because it’s where I am from. There are not a lot of people in Canada. In fact, there are more people in the state of California than in all of Canada! -

Waking up
Panicked
in a rush in the morning
because you slept through your alarm
to realize that you don’t need to leave for school
Jumping into cold
